NEW '214-TRANS4M:' Marina at 214 Neely St.

I'm getting ready for another "214 TRANS4M" exhibit, which runs April 18-May 20 at the Kessler X+ gallery.

Today, I cranked out Marina Oswald  — when she photographed those incriminating images of Lee Harvey holding guns and copies of communist rags.

Those photos — one became a Life magazine cover — were taken in the backyard of their Bishop Arts apartment at 214 W. Neely St. in Oak Cliff.

Our shoot may have coincided on the 49th anniversary of the date we were re-creating.

The Neely Street photos were taken approximately two weeks before Lee's failed April 10 assassination attempt on Edwin Walker.

Bryan Amann was the photog climbing 10-foot ladders.

Frankyee Popovich morphed into Marina, complete with a sidesplitting Russian accent.

Charles Yusko performed wig-styling magic.

Richard D. Curtin painted Marina's face — complete with a light bruise (Lee knocked Marina around, even when she was preggers.)

And Frankyee's buddy Chase Yost was on hand to boost everyone's spirits.

It was a fun day.
