CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA: East Texas-bred emcee Champagne Jerry spits southern-fried rhymes that are sharper than ‘bob wire’

NEAL ARM STRONG: Neal Medlyn flexes his Texas guns for Miley.

I recently caught hip-hop tyro Neal Medlyn tearing up Dallas' CentralTrak for a pimptastic performance to herald Champagne Jerry's new disc, "The Champagne Room," which drops Monday. 

Born in Palestine, Texas, and a former Stephen F. Austin State sociology major in Nacogdoches, Medlyn spits plenty of verse about East Texas' piny green rolling hills — complete with references to Papacita’s and Whataburger.

The new disc is produced by Beastie legend Adam "King Ad-Rock" Horowitz and features the talents of hi-dang-larious comic Bridget Everett and guest vocals by Kathleen Hanna.
